What about the debuts from Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief and KRS-One?
never had a Pharcyde album but know all their hits from MTV and mix cd's back in the day
especially loved the Whats Up Fatlip video and just now read it was directed by Spike Jonze
of course. did a little English class project on it iirc.
also just watched the Drop! video which samples Ad-Rock and he also appears in the video so that might be how Spike got intro'd
