According to The Hill in a scenario they can literally make a "military blockade" around the island preventing basically all imports to the country and breaking them that way. They have the biggest Navy in the world and like i said it would be just a flex move. Same as Ukraine

If history has taught us anything, it's to not underestimate how incredibly difficult it is to invade an island. Even one that is far outnumbered in size. Especially one as armed as Taiwan around the significant parts of their border. Yes China may win that war but it would essentially be a suicide mission for them in terms of the incredible death tolls. The geography of Taiwan is enormously unfavorable to invasion. The entire eastern half of the island is huge and rugged mountains. It’s a natural fortress. The western half along the Taiwan strait has been preparing for invasion since the inception of the country back in the 50s after the ROC fled to Taiwan and has has decades to build this defense along the strait. This is not to mention that Japan, if they were to get involved, has the fourth strongest military in the world, and this doesn't even include the possible of U.S. intervention who, along with the rest of the world, rely entirely on the Semiconductor chips that Taiwan would have to stop producing if a war broke out. Invading an island is so difficult because an island has a natural "border" of water surrounding it. It's not like two adjacent countries fighting where once a battle is lost, armies can send in new troops, ammunition, supplies by land and foot. China can't necessarily set up base along the border of Taiwan, so if they were to lose a battle, new armies, supplies, etc. would have to be sent over again by boats, which is enormously difficult and time consuming.

Like it’s good for what it’s doing and there’s a couple tracks I’ll go back to, but it’s just not what attracted me to his work initially. It was all about the mood and atmosphere before. Now it’s like these sleepy rough drafts. The production is good but at the same time it doesn’t really register completely because it never has time to build or switch up in any way. It’s like Earl writes one long run on sentence verse. He drops in and drops out before you notice. He sounds like he would rather be doing anything else. Maybe that worked on SRS (that never fully resonated with me either), but it feels dull in any other context. You can quote plenty of good lines, but I rarely feel as if I take any of them in anymore cause the delivery is so neutered

I think of a track like Centurion from Doris and it’s just immediately distinct. There’s something so specific about it’s general vibe. Like there’s a murky sinister aura coming off of it. I’ll remember that song for the rest of my life, but I just don’t ever see myself feeling that way about most of what’s off his recent records.
