Anyone else here see The Ascent 1977? Had no idea Larisa Sheptiko (the Direcor) was married to Elem Klimov (the guy who made Come and See). (And then she died 2 years later.) And although similar, I thought this film was really the better of the two. The Judas parables and the last 30 minutes really some of the best filmmaking I've ever seen. Similar themes to Stalker (with the same actor as well) Can't stop thinking about this film and i'm getting my folks to watch it this week as well.

i thought Center Won’t Hold was mostly cool outside of sounding so much like St Vincent, and Path of Wellness was fine but a lil too laid back and indie lol very low energy.

the one thing they’ve kept consistent since reuniting, though, is reinventing themselves every album, and it seems like they’ll do it again with a completely different sound.
