Does it have any sense of melody cause the last few records I heard from her almost seemed intentionally devoid of them? I’m rarely interested in just abrasive punky stuff unless it’s contrasted with something else.
I never noticed a lack of melody need to revisit. I just know it's a stunner.

Oh then I’m much more interested in that. I also heard good things about her Vincent Gallo inspired album. She fell madly in love with him and wrote it for him.

Tried listening to Brand New again and it was really hard. Not cause of the accusations, but because it immediately reminds me of being a 19 year old hopeless romantic. I feel as if Sunny Day Real Estate and Mineral would hold up better for me.

Production is almost like if Danger Mouse produced a Nick Cave album. Kinda spooky and spacey. Conjuring a bit of a witchy pagan era England vibe.

Mineral will never not hold up. those two albums are goddamn timeless
