Already made a layout a couple weeks ago thought i would have trouble thinking of something since it's been over a year since i made a layout
Fontanelle probably making my list
Would make mine if I extended it to 70 which I probably will
The Woods is gonna be the high ranking one for me

there’s a few pages near the end of McCarthy’s Stella Maris that i just realized the great significance of.
In it, the protagonist asserts through monologue how the advent of language is humanity’s greatest mistake because it changed something inherent about our brains and is responsible for the severance or dramatic weakening of the “collective human conscious.” She suggests that humans were better off communicating in the rudimentary ways prior to language because it was simpler and made for a better collective understanding of one another. She also brings up how with language came the ability to lie. She even goes so far as to call language a plague and neurosis lol.
what just dawned on me was what this implies being WRITTEN by Cormac f***in McCarthy, one of the greatest and most lauded contemporary authors in English fiction. hm. that dude was a genius no doubt. I’m still thinking about s*** from that book and I’m 350 pages deep on Wind Up Bird rn

Mac was on a wave of his own. Haven't read the new ones but they seem so meditative of his very being
HIFN really is miles better than her other stuff
Pop 2 is better, HIFN has songs i skip every single time
I Finally Understand is one of my least fav songs she’s ever made actually lol

I used to think that but Pop 2 has some really bad features throughout and is pretty inconsistent overall. HIFN is banger after banger

wait peep the edit, you listen to Finally Understand and Visions every time? cuz those are bottom tier Charli songs for me

Banger. After. Banger.
You listen to Femmebot and Delicious every time?

but the bad features are just funny, the actual production, songwriting, hell even Charli’s vocals are better on Pop 2 imo. plus it has features that elevate, even on the same tracks as the weaker ones lol. Carly Rae and Kim on Pop 2

So you admit they're bad but trick yourself into passing them off as comedy. Ok

uhhhh yes Delicious is hard as f*** man you’re just saying it’s bad cuz the Tommy Cash feature lmaooo

I literally told you the reason I don't like it is cause the features are bad... So no s***
no Galaxy, i just know how to have fun
This is a stupid af argument/accusation cause every Charli album is fun
I literally told you the reason I don't like it is cause the features are bad... So no s***
BUT THE REST OF THE SONG IS SO GOOD IS WHAT IM SAYING
how can it be bad off of one feature? most of the song is Charli lol

Sometimes a bad features can kill the whole flow my guy. It's not just Tommy. Most of Charli's bffs drop bad features on that joint. HIFN is just Charli which is way better
This is a stupid af argument/accusation cause every Charli album is fun
but some of the features on Pop 2 are 100% “oh they were in the studio together wylin tf out just doing whatever” and that vibe is fun/funny to me in a different way than her music normally is. it’s like how i feel about the more comedic Lil B songs

And that's fine but I think they're bad features and disrupt the listening experience
