I never listened to his music but Tech is a funny dude

tbh he was rapping well and it would probably have been great if I heard the album if i checked out back in 2002. peak high school energy, big Eminem influence.

Everybody in high school was listening to Worldwide Choppers when it dropped. That's the extent of my Tech knowledge lol. Song was lit at the time though

The thing about early Em compared to his imitators is it wasn’t just technical fast rappity rap. He’d slow down to directly say something biting. He had this mean poison laced delivery. I think of the double tracked vocals he did on a song like Girls for example — there was something so sinister in a very specific manner to the way in which it was executed. That early stuff was a product of turn of the century rage and frustration boiling to the surface. You can’t replicate that and neither could he after the fact.

Tech Nine didn’t just rap super fast all the time either lol

he also had a lot of Bone Thugs and Three 6ix influence on his early stuff mixed in with the Em influence too, i wouldn’t call him an imitator

I was referring to the amount of d**** he was rapping about taking too lol. Haven't heard anybody rap excessively about Molly, acid, shrooms etc since Marshall.
