The "ownership" argument is something I used to say but as someone who has been on both a torrenter and a streamer I can confirm that it is absolutely nonsensical

streaming music would take away one of my favourite aspects of being a music nerd... finding a cool new artist or band... doing the treasure hunt to compile all their singles, loosies and b sides etc and doing the research to make sure i have it all perfectly organized, chronological etc. its like yall dont even know me
