my library almost perfectly tagged, 3k+ albums, high res art...
several/rare versions of albums
not stuck with the remaster for everything
can configure the "bonus" tracks/b-sides/etc however i want
Looking back now at how much time I spent sorting out tags and s***, don't think I could do it now
Limewire
i want to possess the music, not just access it
Streaming is like a library
You pay for access, not ownership
@WASHINGTON
imagine depending on internet connection to access your stuff
absolutely not. maybe when musk gets his satellite grid up but for now nah.
You can download offline

That's at the bottom of the list of reasons anyway. See my post about the joys of compiling it all myself
The "ownership" argument is something I used to say but as someone who has been on both a torrenter and a streamer I can confirm that it is absolutely nonsensical
You said you wouldn't add me on your Switch/PS4 playlist cuz you don't play online
It would be a good idea for all of us to add each other on a gaming network in case the site bites the dust

It’s a thin argument if you’re talking digital
Physical ownership is still king

Snapchat would make more sense since not everyone has the same systems and games

You can have a back up for your back up
Elric's autistic approach to his library I get. And that's my biggest issue with streaming as well. Streaming apps aren't really designed for music nerds

Absolutely.

Proudly on the spectrum for that
streaming music would take away one of my favourite aspects of being a music nerd... finding a cool new artist or band... doing the treasure hunt to compile all their singles, loosies and b sides etc and doing the research to make sure i have it all perfectly organized, chronological etc. its like yall dont even know me
Let’s say every torrent site goes down
You’re gonna buy every new piece of music?

Have you seen my shelves bruh
Im a fan of the blind buy.... If I hate it I just give it away to someone that doesnt. but no I would just go back to sampling on YouTube first

Figured it was +100

I'm looking at somewhere between 7 or 8 hundred CDs right now
