watched Jason Takes Manhattan last night. it was alright, but probably my least favorite of the non remakes. got some dope original kills (the sauna hot rock one ) but imo the first part on the ship should not have lasted over half the movie, and the extremely surface level and cliche ways they portrayed New York disappointed me a bit. feels like this movie had a lot of potential to be one of the better entries in the series by embracing its goofiness, but it just ended up a lil half baked.

for what it’s worth i liked New Blood more. also watched half of Jason Goes to Hell before falling asleep, that s*** seems even more ridiculous but in a good way

Irregardless of size it just doesn't make sense, you can literally just say the countries you're going to. Unless you're travelling around a bunch it doesn't make sense to not be more specific

Not counting the remake, I usually only rank 9 lower than it. The ship part takes so long, and none of the characters are interesting to me at all lol. The boxing kill is dope though and one of my fav Jason kills.

i think when a lot of ppl say “going to Europe” they do mean they’re going to multiple countries and don’t wanna name them all lol. if mfs go out there they’re gunna stay a while and get their money’s worth

dude the characters in this one were terribly bland, i literally didn’t think about a single one of them outside of their deaths when writing that paragraph just now and then the weird side plotline with the girl’s uncle??? like wtf

forgot about that boxing kill LMFAO that was definitely the other best one. hate how often the Friday series cuts away from kills before you actually get to see what happens, this one did it a few times iirc. can’t remember which of the original movies does it for almost every kill, but it made me hate that one smh

It’s Part 4 for me, I love all three of the Tommy movies tho. The first one is classic, and influential but there’s a few of the movies I prefer over it I’ve realized.

Just finished Jason Goes to Hell. this s*** was kinda wacky but definitely one of the more enjoyable entries in the series. the characters and plot actually come together to make a nice lil horror B movie even without Jason’s iconic look in most of the film
