when you tried to limit rap albums to avoid this :bitchgtfo:

the rap album limit was to try to limit the amount of users from music sxn who listen to nothing but rap music. I don;t give a f*** what fam votes for, it's fam, but outside of fam, some s***ty f***ing lists could have been made, which is what i was avoiding at the time :bitchgtfo:

Haven’t peeped in a while but the lyrics seemed too lazy for my liking, he’s not the best songwriter but it didn’t strike me as impressive.

It’s been a while so I’ll give it another listen soon.

    Agree with EoS.

After 2 listens don't see how AH surpasses KL tbh. Only Too Late, Snowchild and the title track are standouts here. I guess Escape from LA ain't bad but this is all skips compared to KL.

I don’t even like Snowchild much, I prefer when he does the 80s synthpop sound which is mostly evident on this album. The fact this has no features works in his benefit as it focuses purely on his personality and headspace which comes off somewhat intimate. Yeah the subject matter is pretty much the same as he’s always done but a more refined perspective; mature like on the title track.

KL felt really melodramatic and messy, he sounds much better with this sound like on Starboy.

On every project after KL I only liked at most 5 tracks so I gotta fully disagree. Coming from a former Stan since his 2010 YouTube I ain't really wit this style except on the title track and Too Late.

Sucks cuz if I told my 2011 self he would be making songs with OPN and Daft Punk I would've been dying to hear them

Yeah I’ve heard quite a few say they don’t like the path he’s decided to take his music but I like how diverse his discog is atm.

Too Late is fire though, I like how his vocals are drowned in the beat.
