I definitely like these more than most of what Earl’s been doing, but this whole style just kinda feels too brief and in a way inconsequential. There’s no like weight to any of it. My favorite of these is the last one cause there’s no rapping on it. It’s just a beautiful little atmospheric sample based instrumental. I feel like with a lot of this stuff I’m in and out before I’m allowed to care.

I do however believe in the west that we elevate sexual violence above other kinds of violence to a degree that is ultimately really counter productive, but that’s a complicated conversation for another day.

Well both of them plus Nicolas Winding Refn and Harmony Korine are in The League of Extraordinary Provocateurs.

Refn is something else I can't really describe it but his ridiculously cool and artful depiction the most brutal aspects of society are fkn amazing.

Not crazy about recent Korine but Gummo is some kind of masterpiece so I'll always have a soft spot of that weirdo.

Tarantino has a greasier aura than either of them.
