Trying out Tidal and maybe I'm just used to AM but the UI and navigation is really really weird. I probably commit to Spotify if they ever released a hi-fi/lossless tier like AM did (although AM didn't charge for the quality upgrade). Tidal will probably do for now. Just gotta get used to it...

Tidal is weird af where artists get added to your library separately (by following them) instead of getting added when you add an album of theirs and there's no quick way to scroll through musicians with an A-Z slider if I don't know what to listen to yet. Ugh. I might just be nitpicking and biased

I think most people do that, that's why they're not bothered about making the interface friendly for people that wanna use it like a more traditional music library. If you wanna scroll through a list of artists to find albums that you've got saved by them, you have to also be following those artists. It's stupid

Ah I see. Yeah that sounds annoying. For me it's just playlists or I search for the artist/album manually.
