I couldn't finish Bioshock, game did not age well at all. The story was interesting though even though I knew the twist beforehand
Art doesn’t age. Top 10 game all time.
Sorry but Souls combat does not look smooth at all
and just the fact that it's 2D vs 3D is already a huge difference.
It's incredibly smooth. It's all about timing and being forced to commit to attacks rather than just slashing aimlessly and button mashing. If you do the latter you'll just die endlessly and it's the big learning curve with Souls game. When I first played it I was like "wtf is this jank ass combat??" and then it eventually clicked and
Bloodborne and Sekiro are considerably more flashy and speedy. If anything, you'd probably enjoy Sekiro more. It's basically a rhythm game but again the focus is on timing and committing.
I respect the Soulslike games but I don’t connect with their design at all. Bloodborne is the only one I’d consider getting really into someday and that’s mostly just because of the aesthetics.

It’s a game where you’re basically required to die. You can’t go in with decent perception and patience and try to figure things out as you go. It’s trial and error. I appreciate how committed they are to their difficulty and how punishment is almost a thematic element, but it’s just not my cup of tea.

You totally can. There's a natural learning curve where yeah, you will die and die until you learn, but eventually when/if the s*** clicks you just go. Like with getting good with anything else.
As for bosses specifically, yes you will totally die lots of times before you kill them. For the hard ones at least. There are still plenty of easier ones where you can easily read them (again, cause of what you learned) and demolish them in one try.
I’m not a gamer tho. It’s never really been my medium.
its the only medium that can do what all the others ones do and then some
Dark Souls 3 was my intro to the series and it kicked my ass for days. Then I jumped to Bloodborne and kicked its ass. Half of the bosses in that game I didn't even die to.
It's like, a general that the From game everyone considers the hardest is the one they played first

Ok it's just a bad game then
boring as f***

Its why most video game adaptations fail or feel incredibly shallow. TLOU in a condensed format without all the exploration/atmosphere/banter
the Death Stranding movie will work, since its basically an interactable movie anyway and the characters are literally the same as the actors already.
A Metal Gear Solid movie is the dumbest f***ing idea ever

Not trying to get my hopes up but the talent behind the fallout show
can't help but get a little excited

the Fallout show looks fun though. it seems like they have more freedom with it since they can just kind of create their own story within the setting?
TLOU was like.. lets do a 1:1 of select scenes of the game, with less charismatic actors, and cut out all the drama/tension/build up in between that made those big moments special.
Then that one gay episode which was ironically the best episode of the show considering it was mostly original material

yeah the tv studio actually wanted to just remake Fallout 3 or something but Bethesda boss insisted on telling a new story. feel like he might have spent more time on this show then he did Starfield.

Yea mon the FromSoft learning curve is real but when it clicks it just flows like
it had been years since I played Sekiro but even on the second play through it was hard but not brutal like that first time.
Yo in BB did you ever use that big wheel weapon lol
