So hyped to watch when i get off work later. Been waiting on this all week
Despite my avy, I’ve been kind of mixed on him for a while. His earlier crooner stuff never fully connected with me a ton outside of a few songs (Duchess for example is one of my all time favorites) and his experimental work I found annoying. However lately I’ve been going through all of it again and both sides of his career are resonating more strongly. I still prefer most of the artists he influenced over him, but my respect for him just keeps growing.
First four tracks on Nite Flites are magnificent imo. My favorite Thing he's done

I dig that one for sure but its probably one of my least played from that album tbh. I love the chorus but the rest is just aight to me. But im glad it blew up regardless. Still better than most s*** out
Last night they were pullin' pints of pesky Pendleton
Snuck away from the fire
Slept there with the grass and wind
I looked up at heavens, saw how small I really was
I wanna build a house and burn it down just because
And you're smirking like an a****** with a cheek full of tobacco
In the back of some Bronco in a town you've never been
Once in a lifetime god tier track

Do you reckon he doesn't listen either?
or just sends jot notes to his worker bees to complete the review. OR are the worker bees doing all the work

I'm positive the worker bees are writing most of the reviews, if not all of them.He may still listen to the albums, but there's no way to tell. Best case scenario he listens to albums with his internet "interns" and they discuss them briefly or something. Unlikely, but there's a chance i suppose
The city is so loud
And the hotel kicked me out
Do you think that's she still proud looking down?

Wouldn't be surprised if he wrote the few very good grades that get put out lately and just leaves the other 80% to the interns.

Yeah that might be too. He seems like the type that would only let an 8/10 be posted if he does it himself lol
You ever seen The Dictator?
Bro, 70% of my students called off today because the rain in LA is so bad and all the streets are flooded. That number is not an exaggeration. Today is literally a waste of time and overhead.
Might f*** around and have them pass the aux around for an hour. I have a nice sound system in this classroom lol
Did you?
I’m not a huge Messuggah fan but seeing the drum cam of Haak doing Bleed
Yo, I rewatched Crumb because you were talking about it earlier. What an insane person
He absolutely would’ve been a 4chan loser if he was born in the ‘90s

How many times you heard that album?
half dozen. its too potent to play casually.

Haha I love that documentary, definitely an interesting character study. But very bizarre considering how unsound yet oddly talented his brothers are too.
The Crit is p cool, the booklet includes his brother’s entry to some art magazine. Weird

F***, this Charles Wesley Godwin album is so goddamn amazing
Really glad you’re connecting with it. I don’t understand why it’s not getting more attention.

i think hes steadily gonna keep rising. dont think hes the kind of artist who will blow up on tiktok or something but seems like hes got the attention and love of a lot from country people at this point, it would just be nice if it was outside of the country communities. like i can see the type of people who'd normally be into indie folk stuff digging him
he (surprisingly) signed to the Big Loud label that Morgan Wallen is on last year and he's supporting Luke Combs this year
could see him just being a critically acclaimed artist with a modest fanbase of country fans. or he could end up Tyler Childers status, who knows. he definitely has the talent
