I love Dali. Have a lithograph print of his from 1975. Snagged it for like 150 bucks somehow back in the day. I know he was a fascist sympathizer but surprisingly a lot of great artists were fascist sympathizers. Remember that it's easier to look at the horror of these things in retrospect. Though I'm kind of speaking out of my ass because I don't actually know how deep his relationship with fascism was/whether he was actively supporting the actions of Francisco Franco. If he supported Hitler/Mussolini after WW2 then yeah f*** him. Maybe you'll have to educate me on that.

Plato, Socrates, Aristotle, all were basically proto-fascist. I despise fascism as much as you but I can kind of understand why someone would disagree with democracy in the same way we disagree with fascism.

Never looked too much into it but always found the connection between avant garde and fascism/antisemetism pretty strange. Ezra Pound, T.S Eliot, Wyndham Lewis, Dali, etc...

Charles d***ens, Henry Ford. Even the pacifist saint himself Gandhi!

Hollywood actually has a lot of respect for Del Torro hes one of the few foreign directors who always get mentioned. I also liked his aesthetic but found him overrated film wise
