Revisited Benji and it’s probably the best album of the 2010’s. There’s very few records that are as emotionally direct and laid bare in its particular way. Nothing else from that period has moved me as strongly. It’s too much at times, because almost every other line becomes more relatable with each passing year. Micheline destroyed me on this listen.

Damn... I knew this erotic photographer (pretty talented guy). His grandma had alzheimers, mom had cancer, brother had severe schizophrenia. When her cancer went into remission and then came back and she passed, he decided to take him and his brother out into his truck and light a bunch of charcoal in the back of the car. Homicide/suicide. Didn't want his brother going to a psych hospital I guess and thought it was more compassionate to take him with.

Man I was watching TV a few years back and saw a news report about some guy getting stabbed on the subway. When they showed the suspects I was like holy s***, that's my friend Ben from middle school! Super nice kid who I guess turned into this degenerate wannabe gangster. Goes by the name "Jet Wave" now

yeah it was weird because he was a normal/chill/goofy kid that everyone loved. A lot of people in our high school didn't believe he did it even after he was caught and the evidence came out.
