Sax makes everything
"so I put my shades on, head to toe suede on looking like Blade 2" :datass:
this one didn't hit that hard when it first dropped a couple weeks ago but growing on me like crazy
actually amazing the more I listen to it. A band in their prime

That one got played heavily from me in hs. That and Blank Face are both dope
partly cause its not incredible at all to me and partly cause of the neckbeard weebo association
proudly crank Madonna, Shangri Las, etc whatever out my car windows my whole life cause THAT is incredible music.
if it's not incredible to you fair enough. but even you know the neckbeard weebo association should have nothing to with whether the music is good or not. I can understand you not liking Kpop but there should be plenty of Japanese artists in that playlist I think you'd dig. it's a really diverse playlist (also a work in progress) so there are some jazz and instrumental pieces I posted.
But in all honestly Japanese Indie rock is where it's at. Quickly becoming one of my favorite genres ever.

Greatest city pop song ever produced:

this song:

why lol i dont care for 99% of contemporary pop by English speaking artist so why would I care about the Asian version?
I can listen to non English folk rock and art rock or whatever from Chile, Brazil, Germany etc cause I love those genres. Pop has always been mostly trash to me.
lol that was mostly s***posting on my part. not trying to force anything on you elric
but to be fair the japan playlist doesn't have that much pop in it anyway

you've heard this one from the same album right? A lot more famous/well known but didn't post it because I assumed it was too obvious of a choice.

Ryuichi Sakamoto? Yellow Magic Orchestra? Damn broski he was a legend in Japan. And very well known internationally as well. Like more well known than Joe Hisaishi by a decent margin. Passed away last year

Don't know that guy either, no idea what yer talkin about. That song I just sent you is the only Japanese musician I'm aware of.
I also love the scores to 50s and 60s Japanese horror flicks but don't know the composers.
@suzuki
This a****** was supposed to tutor me on early 70s reggae but also is dropping the ball
gets better with every listen
Been jamming them a ton lately. Love that band.

Joe Hisaishi did the Studio Ghibli OSTs and a bunch of other films.
50s 60s japan has some classic soundtracks. I can come through with some recs tomorrow maybe. Woman In The Dunes
Pendercki vibes for sure.

Also rewatched Harakiri recently and was really caught off guard by how well that OST elevates the film.

yeah I know haha you post them here everyday. i'll take partial credit for introducing them to you
