Never listened to Renaissance despite the crazy hype

I never listened to any early Beyonce albums. Did she actually get significantly "better" or is she massively benefiting from poptimism as well. Cause imo the Beyonce and Lemonade albums are just ok

Beyoncé sucks ass. I actually think 4 is her best album but it’s still only like a 5/10.

4 does have Countdown which might be the best I've heard from her

Love on Top also, which has some of my favorite 80s throwback production. Those are really the only two major highlights on the album though.

Don't disrespect Riri shes way better than Beyonce

they're the same imo except Riri doesn't have a song that goes as hard as Formation

honestly yeah. Renaissance grew recently on me a lot and I think its her best, the level of artistry and her vision has increased and is really impressive on that imo. about to peep the new one but if she actually pulls off this 3 album series thing it will be really cool from a conceptual standpoint

maybe im wrong on this but her early albums are kinda hard for me to even get through outside the hits. think she leveled up more later and the level of craft increased each one since 4

if she kept making a few more like ANTI maybe but since she retired from music i dont really see her catalog having an answer to what Beyonce's been doing in the last decade

and with the last albums Beyonce has made herself a different kind of artist too, not knocking singles pop artists at all but feels like Beyonce has placed herself out of that now and is more in the multifaceted conceptual worldbuilding lane now. dont think it makes as much sense to mention them in the same breath anymore like it did in the 2000s

almost done listening and it was really good.

definitely not a full country album though so dont expect that. lot of really cool genre blending imo which ends up as something really unique. but it does totally sound like a Beyonce album. like a Beyonce album with significant country pop influence alongside soul/folk/gospel/r&b and a few other random influences like a rap song, beach boys interpolation, beatles cover. sounds very modern

its also like 19 real songs basically and some interludes, not 27 full songs

she's being a bit too on the nose with the explicitly stated "im blending genres!" type stuff but it makes sense why she said "it's not a country album, its a beyonce album"

I really don't care for either artist album wise and if what you say about early Beyonce is true, than I'll take Rihanna singles over Beyonce singles. Beyonce and Lemonade are nothing special imo and don't stand out against something like ANTI (not particularly incredible either)

Need honest thoughts on my conceptualizing of an all time list.

Would be 2 steps. It would be easier for you guys but slightly more time consuming.

Part 1 would be nominating X amount of albums unranked (so stress free) and counting most nominations into a pool

Part 2 would be using a site a la bias sorter to rank the final nominations (I would require the final lists be DM'd to me to avoid spoilers itt.)

Idk, just feel like a traditional counting list for all time wouldn't cut it
