i dont really get it

what about those albums that are really loved by only a few fam members and none of the rest? like i dont get how something like that pandora's box album would possibly stand a chance vs something that most of us would vote in the top 50 but no one in their top 10

I have accounted for that type of stuff to happen with part 2 if we get there

@RVI let's say everybody nominated ... 125-150, and I get 25 lists. Albums with multiple nominations, high or low will be put into a ranking pool (this is the long part, each person would have to take 40-50 minutes to do it). Let's say there are 650 albums (not farfetched) that get multiple votes. Everybody will be given those exact same albums to sort with a simple click or 500 (a website similar to biassorter but easier). It sounds convoluted I know. In this scenario, though, I would only ask to be given each person's top 100 ( since not everybody will like every album or have heard it) to rank and count. And since everybody is ranking the same albums the underdogs could still perform well enough. I'm not saying the results would be super unpredictable, but interesting enough.

I'm notoriously awful at explaining stuff and I am clearly prone to ramble so if this still doesn't make sense, it will when we get there. I'm trying to explain it all at once, but when we get there it will be streamlined and step by step

Reading that back none of it really makes sense cause I'm the only one who knows my plan i just think traditional counting wouldn't work at all

I've made a very simple process sound extremely convoluted. Again, not good at expkaining stuff without typing it out with thought first

so youre saying each voter would have to dedicated 40-50 minutes to go into that ranking and sort their top 100 albums out of the 650 album pool? just clicking through hundreds of times, possibly seeing a bunch of matchups with albums they havent even heard

The website I've found allows you to trash albums from that list as you see them idk

But essentially yes, which is why I'd ask for top 100s only since nobody will like all the albums in there.

It's a lot simpler than how I'm making it out to be

I was driven mad by them on ktt1 when i was dealing with other s*** and went haywire and power crazy

I have not been behaving erratically during the ktt2 fam lists

This is the website i found. You can even remove albums from the list before you rank them to reduce the field. It's super easy. You can also undo if you f*** up.

As an example, ranking 70 albums just took me 12 minutes.
