for some reason i was never able to get into this one as much as the other classics from de king
Tbh I gotta spend more time with De King’s solo stuff, it feels like it should just be a continuation of Mercyful Fate but something is just a bit off

the guitarist is really good. feels like they went a bit proggy too especially with some of the concept/story stuff
definitely prefer those first 2 Mercyful Fate albums
at least the legacy acts are actually performing. the celebrity worship is so bad that people will fork out just as much to see Drake rap along to his own cd and make the crowd sing the other half
or Kanye do even less apparently
Feel like crying every time I think about what the misses spent on a Taylor Swift ticket
Rather pay $30 to see a cool indie band at a bar
These are always the best shows anyway
Watching 1883 and man how the f*** does Sam Elliott look exactly the same as he did 30 years ago in Lebowski

Still looks great
New vamp weekend is cool but Ezra remains the weakest point keeping it from truly being great. Like every VW album imo
Total Eclipse of the Heart during De Eclipse
Okay this 80s
did you look at the eclipse? I forgot to buy those glasses so I couldn’t. It was pretty cool the last time though

I didnt have the glasses but the sky was this grey/shiny color. It felt like a movie with a weird film grain effect it was cool.

Nah we didn't really get it my way but it seemed p cool
Y'all just listing off fruit names
what do you think of Betsy On The Roof off Have You In My Wilderness? I remember it being an important song to Holter and a highlight to many who like the album but I can't help feeling it's rather empty pomp and my least favorite song on the album and one of her worst songs in general. A bit like the title track on the new one but that won me over in the end.
btw my ranking would be
Aviary
Tragedy
Ekstasis
Something In The Room She Moves (could move up not down. i think it's decisively stronger than the other two)
Have You In My Wilderness
Loud City Song

Haven't listened to HYIMW in a while and it's my least listened Holter in general. I'll try to get back to you
All i do know is that Sea Calls Me Home is a masterpiece

I've had Wilderness last for a long time but idk the songs on Loud CIty Song sometimes just built to nothing really yet there are beautiful moments. Wilderness has Lucette Stranded on the Island, Sea Calls Me Home and the title track, which I all like a lot.

Loud City Song was my first Holter record and what made me fall in love with her music. It has fallen back for me in her discog but it's still special to me
Listened to BOTR on the way home. Good track, don't think it's overdone but it's not my favorite and never was.
