Yeah the cover is sexy :datass:

Some of these riffs sound grungy and the added melody got feel good vibes

I have my first full band gig on Tuesday, playing lead guitar might f*** around and post some clips if I can pull some good ones. My roommate is on vocals and it's a showcase for her.

Our rhythm section is insane. The drummer sat in with Phish the other night.

Thanks man. I started playing when I was 11 and wanted to make music my life when I was in my teens but the options for collabs were a lot fewer in my hometown and then I got married and went to college so it got placed on the backburner. Then the pandemic happened and I've written maybe 30 songs since then.

Part of the reason my marriage went to s*** was our paths started diverging. She wanted to move out of LA and have a larger family and I wanted to focus on my art. It's not bad to want different things out of life but it does make living parallel lives much more difficult. I'm not old af yet in my early thirties, but if I'm ever going to get anywhere in the music industry it's gotta start now.

I really believe you have to align your lifestyle with your dreams if you want to see them realized. I just moved in with someone whose entire life is about making it in the industry and we're building a studio in the house. Already have some clients lined up for when we open it up (hopefully August). Life is good right now, I'm the happiest I've been in years doing what I need to do.

He was at one of the Vegas residency shows a week ago and jammed with Trey a bit, before or after the show. I'll ask him the details when we rehearse on Monday

hmm off the top I would probably say prime Mikael Akerfeld (Opeth) was the best but I dig Craig Pillard (Incantation), Mike Williams (EHG), Dylan Walker (FoH), Eli Wender (Black Curse/Spectral Voice)..The combo of Von Till and Kelly was awesome, Michael Gira too.

Of course all the legends too

    Who you got broski ?

I'm into the hardcore style vocals so yeah def Kelly and Von Till. Jacob Bannon. Nocturno Culto has that old school sound that's mixed with cheese that's and of course Anaal Nathrakh dude.

I remember seeing that album around back in the day but could never get into power metal haha its too much cheese for me. I think the closest I got was Children of Bodom

Do you like Mike Patton ? I could never really get into his vocals but a lot of people say he's one of the best

Mikko Aspa from DsO is nasty with it too
