I'm tryna get into more of his stuff beyond the usual go-to albums.

Purple rain is my favorite of his projects (stop me if you've heard anyone say this before), but I've also checked out the self titled album from 1979, Controversy, Dirty Mind, and 1999, all to mixed results, even though there's songs that I love on each of those projects.

Around The World and Parade are cool but it sounds like you need to marinate on Sign O' The Times for a few months. The only one that rivals Purple Rain.

You're review of The New World just convinced me to buy one for my laptop, since I haven't had a TV in like 7 years. bought a Blu-ray player for my folks and like 10 blurays for them last Christmas.

Does anyone know if it's worth buying a Blu-ray player for a decent laptop? I'm guessing it will look better than just streaming the film? I'm a novice on this. Never actually watched something on Blu-ray I don't think.

Spent like 60 dollars on a That Day on the Beach Blu-ray back in December as well and really just want to watch that since i missed it at Lincoln Center and have only ever been able to find low resolution versions online.

Think I might steal back all the blu-rays I bought my parents tbh since they've already watched most of them. Really want to watch Mishima on Bluray

It sucked badly outside of Nikki and Tony :chanlaff: but I chalked that partly up to me not getting the football jokes at all

Absolutely worth checking out for Nikki and Tony though, a couple all timer roast sets there f***ing brutal
