I was being silly. Sgt Peppers is a great album.

F***in better than Abbey Road

I was not ready for how wildly inventive Sgt Peppers got in the latter half. Was tryna listen with the context of the musical landscape at the time in mind and the concept.

There are a lot of albums I prefer from that era but nothing can match the sheen and dynamics that George Martin was bringing to the Beedles sound. Mr. Kite alone was undoubtedly beyond anybody else in the the world at that time, production wise.
