I’m a work in progress too brotha and just turned 30 in February

Getting “old” is cool. I no longer have a desire to keep up with things and “get” everything. I know what connects with me and what matters to me on a deeper level. Spending time with family and listening to some soft 70’s rock at a cookout is all ya need sometimes.

I feel like I'm as curious about whatever is new and interesting as I am for whatever is ancient and interesting but it's a lot easier to sift through the dust

I didn’t mean to say I’m not going to try new things, but more so that I’m comfortable with my taste. I think it’s evolved and mostly solidified. Like I’m not going to go out of my way to listen to some abrasive noise rock s*** anymore. I don’t need to experience all the kinds of things and have an appreciation for all of it.

Yeah the generational gap is probably more of an issue at that point. A lot of my best friends and gf are you guys' age and it barely feels like we're not the same gen at this point.

vroom vroom was supposed to be the warmup for the album so much sophie prod.

a whole lost era between Vroom and the Pop 2 tape (even tho she had another mixtape in that time which was supposed to be another warmup)

still has some of the immaturity of her earlier stuff. was supposed to be the product where she reached artistic maturity but now theres just a weird gap and then suddenly she was already into that era with Pop 2

True Romance is really solid but not sure how much of it would be your thing. id try it out to see if youre allergic at least. might surprise you with some of the dark atmospheric pop she was trying for, i can see you saving a highlight or two

Sucker is definitely a bit mid and cant see you liking it though. ended up being a weird detour in her career cuz she started working with the Sophie/AG Cook type people after and the rest is history
