The rest of the album is good, but none of it comes close to this. Similar thing with Rain of Crystal Spires on that Felt record. Weird to open an album with a perfect song that none of the other material after can live up to.

I'm by no means a country expert and am probably still pretty nooby but this might be my personal favorite country album ever ( from my smaller set of country knowledge)

It’s great and remarkably consistent. Mine would probably still be Heart Food by Judee Sill. They call her “cosmic country”, but that counts to me. Others would be John Prine and Kris Kristofferson’s self titled debuts and Heartbreaker by Ryan Adams. Also Grievous Angel by Gram Parsons.

New Zach is goood but didn't really blow me away on first listen. but i dont think Zach is capable of a bad album,,, still good listen

my first listen was p solid, the 3 track run of 28 -> american nights -> oak island stood out to me most

def some more subdued ones later on the album i wasnt paying attention to. i liked all the collabs as well

Yeah just count Perfect Red Velvet. It's the deluxe or whatever version with more songs and probably their biggest single.
