there are two. A 144 minutes version which got released in the US and a 119 minutes version Kubrick cut for international release. Because of the poor showing in the US Kubrick cut it further down.

The US cut is the definitive one. The EU cut was, as you said, just studio pressuring to trim it down cause people didn't really f*** with it at first.

You know I take my sweet time working my way through filmographies and discographies but twin peak season 3 is one of those things that you need to do immediately because you could get hit by a car or something at any moment and you gotta see that first

Yeah good point about it being a recognizable domestic situation for the older generation. Managed to lay the drama out without making me want to self harm like Possession does.
