KoalaAnother film with warmth
70's Malick will always be something special to me. And RIP Linda Manz, she would make for a great documentary on what happened in her career.
Her accent was so cool lol and those voice overs really added something special. I haven't seen it in eons though.
I remember watching the film for the first time at 16ish and having no idea what I just saw but being totally hypnotized.
You ever catch A Hidden Life? My dad is watching that one at the moment per my rec. I still probably prefer the pre-2000s films like Thin Red Line and Days of Heaven (haven't seen Badlands in so long that I don't really remember it) but I actually really like his new style as well. If you know Mallick's background it seems like his modern period really is an embodiment and total realization of his life philosophy.

that's f***ing sad. Hope it's not too serious. I love watching his Weather reports and would love to see him make a final film or something else. @Elric gomd about the return I'll get to it. I watched the first two episodes.
Also I love this video. Starts off as a funny compilation of Lynch moments and then at around 6:25 it randomly transforms into this beautiful homage to his films. The last 40 seconds

~40 for True Romance/pre-True Romanceonly sought out the ones that are fully completed (or close enough), good quality, and not just any rough demos of other songs or mumble tracks
combed through almost 17 hours of songs total. made a best-of which is 1.7 hours and another playlist like 6 hours long of the very good ones worth hearing
