I'm always unsure on how much I like this album myself (the middle tracks in particular). One day it's a masterful Hip Hop album, the other day it's just somewhat boring and syrupy. However, the lyrics on Lesley are really gripping.

Think it's one of those albums that's best consumed once every few months or even longer. Repeat listens on it have proven less impactful for me because it's aiming for a certain emotional reaction. It's still pretty clearly a very solid album regardless of time between listens though. And prob my fav rap album of that year

Reality is a wildly underrated late career Bowie album. Prefer it to Heathen, Hours or The Next Day. It just has that ominous lonely alienating Bowie feel to it paired with desolate production that I love about him. So f***ing depressing
