actually, the tickets were 600, with an abusive 250-dollar Ticketmaster fee, so 850.

But it was in New Jersey so the ubers + the merch I bought plus some other things brought the total to around 1100.

It was her first ever show in the U.S, it was my birthday, and it was very close to the stage (20,000 seat venue) and one of the best days of my life, so yes worth it. But the point is it would have been closer to 250 dollars if not for unscrupulous resellers.

But really, it's Ticketmaster who is the true evil, because they encourage reselling. Think of it this way, they sell the original ticket for 250 dollars, then it gets relisted on Ticketmaster for 600, and they make 250 dollars off of the fees on the resale. So, they're making far more money from the resale than from the original ticket, but bringing in money from both. It's actually a brilliant scheme on their part.

Yes this is how I went from spending all of my money on concert tickets back in the day (which felt worthwhile) to preferring to stay home and f*** my own face rather than play Ticketmasters game

When my best friend (who’s from Philly) lost his dad, we all chipped in and bought him an autographed AI jersey. 33 PPG in 2006 when I first started really paying attention to the NBA. Kyrie has better handles but AI was more exciting to watch from the little I remember.

I agree tbh. I almost never see concerts (besides smaller artists) because I really only like to be up close and for big musicians Ticketmaster will f*** you in the ass.

The social media/celebrity worship aspect of concerts has made the experience feel alot less special as well. Feels like most of people are just there to take their s***ty videos that they'll never watch on their giant phones which are taking up my goddamn view.

too bad they're garbage. nah I'm kidding, the grateful dead concert at the sphere looked awesome. But the U2 concert looked like a once in a lifetime experience. did you go?

I can't believe they gave its residency to the Eagles

nah i wish. next time Phish is there i wanna try to go to the whole run of shows

Eagles makes perfect sense honestly. cuz thats the demographic that theyre really chasing with the sphere. I feel like a lot of artists who will play there won't really fit the actual venue. and ones that would fit the venue perfectly wont be able to play there. its gonna end up being a ton of legacy acts that don't use the visual aspect in an interesting way
