I'm just a few miles north of the evacuation area, in Woodland Hills. The winds blew the fires southwest, so we're all good over here, but it got really close.

The school I teach at is closed for the rest of the week because of the evacuations and poor air quality. I have 150 students and wouldn't be surprised if one or two of them lost their homes.

Older artists, I used Getty images since most older artists have their photoshoots on there.

You can save/download images without the getty watermark while scrolling through the pages (instead of clicking individual pages). As long as you're not being paid in any capacity for using the images without purchase or consent it's fine to use them for personal, non-profit use (like the lists).

Post-80s I kinda did a mix of Last.fm (hit or miss but very good for 2010s-now artists) and getty.

The more popular the artist the more images to sift through, but too obscure and you'll have to look elsewhere

I'd say 60% getty
25% last fm
The other 15% i went rogue and scoured through pages and pages of Google images and related images

My method has changed over time since I didn't know you could use getty images under non-profit use for free until... I think the ladies list.

I know you liked the 70s ones I did which I found randomly in spots but confirmed later that they're available on Getty
