Peak Ye creativity, sounds like an Eminem homage with how tongue in cheek it is but without the vitriol. Also a touch of Zappa level sarcasm in there, love those live erratic strings, the pounding, incessant drums, then suddenly shifts into a dance number halfway though (with that awesome voice-box adding another layer of creative fun to the mix). Early Ye was underrated by how effortlessly he turned intricate/experimental musical ideas into catchy hits (Jesus Walks/All Falls Down/Never Let Me Down are also great examples with how Ye used to make the samples and hooks interact and segue in and out of verses and into new sections or bridges) but imo The New Workout Plan is in a league of its own creatively and stylistically

Post-MBDTF Ye turned his production inwards and starting mostly relying on heavy bass and synth and more simple production techniques (there are obviously outliers). Doesn't get much better than the layering he applied on CD/LR/MBDTF
