I’ll tell ya what all these years later I don’t think an album has ever matched the sheer demented brutality of opening with Angel of Death and closing with Raining Blood /

I'm not even a massive Slayer fan overall but that whole album is something else and obviously Raining Blood is in a whole other universe from anything.

it wasnt very entertaining to me in almost any way a few kinda funny jokes thats it. was worthwhile for the context it helps provide but that doesnt really factor into how much i liked watching. some of the lennon moments were the best to me

would be 2 stars if not for songs bumping it up just cuz its beatles songs

im thinking any older comedic film gonna be a tough sell for me at this point

now im super scared to watch the other beatles ones which are apparently way worse

It perfectly encapsulates the fervor of Beatlemania, the wittiness of the boys, each of their unique personalities, the energy of early swinging 60s London and the magic of their newest songs.

Agreed that comedy doesn't always age well, especially early mid 60s for me. But not this and almost every encounter they have is hilarious or charming.
