It's been a thing for as long as lists have existed. I'll never forget when 5 different people voted that Modern Life is War album #1 back in the day. If you can't beat em... join em
Yeah and lest we forget the Pandora's Box scandal. I hope those involved still feel great shame for gaming that on to one of the lists
I get to edit tv shows/interviews that each get millions of views, which sounds exciting, but it's all news editing. There's not much creativity there. And I hate the news. So no. I don't like my job.
Sometimes I get to put together documentaries and work with graphics, exciting a-roll, b-roll, archival footage, music, etc. etc. but it's few and far between.
A lot of my friends are accountants. I imagine myself as an accountant sometimes. I think my soul would erode, and then I would blow my brains out.
It could always be 100x worse though, so I have no right to complain. Got to remember that for most people in the world, the obligation of (decent) work is a pipe dream. You could be mining cobalt in the Congo for 10 cents an hour, breathing in toxic air and dying of some trivial disease. Or cleaning sewers in India. But I think everyone’s life is a tragedy, just to varying degrees. Most people just aren't aware of the fact that they’re miserable. But we’re all miserable.
Jesus that last paragraph is bleak
I did actually work in accounting for a bit when I was fresh out of university. I packed it in after about 6 months, it was as miserable as it sounds

bawitdaba dabang dabang diggy diggy
I haven’t really kept up with rap in a while too. I’d like to do the list, but I’d feel compelled to listen to nothing but hip-hop albums for like 6 months just to have a decent sense of it again.
sounding like my next few months
Do i talk about that a lot?
Once or twice. It's fine I used to talk about the paper I stacked before prohibition ended.

Whoever it is moved in and put an automated gate up
Thats why im out drinking all the time
I've left that life behind...for now.
When I was 22 I would black out every weekend. I remember I drank/partied for 2 months straight and then went into delirium when I stopped. Can't believe I used to live life like that. You burn out much faster at 30 than at 22.
Life is a lot easier when you're not drinking but also a lot less fun
