I think if he genuinely thinks the film “hates men” or whatever, then I don’t have an interest in debating him on it. He can interpret it however he wants, but it’s so divorced from the text of the film, that I struggle to even pushback. It’s like looking at a Grimm brothers fairy tale and reading into it as a serious condemnation of heteronormativity or something. It’s just silly.
