Nujabes and Dilla
We're doing a hip hop list soon and I feel like an a****** for choosing mostly instrumental stuff but
it's the beats I'm after
Donuts is transcendent
Read the 33 1/3 on Donuts and learned that one of Dilla's main inspirations was Just Blaze and Kanye's soul-based beats at the time and that Ye's beat on "Spaceship" 'fucked him up' cause he was mad he never thought of flipping that song like that before and wanted to take the sample flipping to another level

Electronic list next so I can throw some Aphex and Daft Punk

I'll consider it
somebody said metal
I know we have riff squad but I'd get like 13 lists max. Electronic would most certainly do better.

Riff squad would just round up to a few albums yeah
Electronic could at least include s*** like MIA and Grimes
...just a suggestion
Hip hop list will be last last with very strict rules, not because I regret making the rules but because it's the only genre that Fam can tend to pile on the same s*** over and over.

I like the idea of electronic albums
kind of a wide spectrum... like I saw Yeezus on a best electronic albums list but I wouldn't allow that since it's obviously gonna get hip hop votes lol.
Riff squad #1 would be Jane Doe probably right..?
@Koala @drjdeponytail @Riffwanker
Jane Doe isn't winning a consensus metal albums list if it's up against Metallica and Black Sabbath

If Kanye could shut the f*** up and die for 5 seconds it would qualify but nah

Only like 3 songs are electronic leaning so yeah not really in general.

True it'd be Sabbath or Ride the Lightning or something yeah
I'm more of a punky metal kid
I'll consider it

riffs > bleeps
riffs > bleeps
Think i agree but the voting share favors the bleeps
Neither are strong candidates for the next list but they are candidates nonetheless
I'll probably do debut albums after hip hop
Bleeps are just digital riffs
But enough about riffs and bleeps
We are now focused on flips and beats
Bars as well
