@RASIE thought u were TLOP >> yeezus fam btw
They used to be tied, but recently TLOP has fallen a little behind it tbh. My first draft of album choices actually included TLOP, but i just could find a spot for it that i was happy with — and i didn't wanna sacrifice a better variety of artists/albums just to cram a 3rd Kanye album in my list

"better variety of artists"
list includes 2 Future in the top 20 and 2 Thugger in the top 10, 3 Lil B albums
im just f***ing around lol
Didn't expect to see this much rap on the list
and thought u didnt fw Yeezus?
real af tho
If i made this list like 3 years ago, there'd be like half as much rap on it as there is now. But over the past few years, I've really slowed down on my music consumption — I've just been really content with listening my handful of go-to favorites, and a lot more of the catchy/endlessly replayable rap by artists like Thugger, Future, Uzi, etc...
Ive always been a huge fan of Keef, Lil B, Gucci, and Waka, but I didn't really get into the others above until 2017-ish. I had already liked Future a lot for a while, but I used to just ignore Thug, and I downright couldn't stand Uzi. But since then Thugger and Future have become two of my favorite artists oat, and I really appreciate Uzi's music.

Lol yeah when i made my list of albums to choose from, i trued to choose 2 albums per artist at most — but I literally couldn't cut one of those 3 Lil B ones haha. That's why i didn't want 3 kanye ones too
gahdamn I was wildin' in the original 2010-2016 voting thread
In fairness to me I had been burnt out after counting 70s, 80s, 90s, 00s, hip hop, but the fact that I was tryna suppress certain votes
I was really in a bad headspace wtf
@Galaxy - Just fixed that Modern Baseball album title in my list. It was supposed to be "You're Gonna Miss It All", not self-titled
Gotta start proofreading better

oh s*** I think I started suppressing Kendrick votes just to piss off befly
goddamn I'm a d***.
I still defend my hip hop limit rule because it was open to randos who were giving me trash musix sxn tier lists. That is the main reason I tagged everybody itt just to have a better experience overall
edit: nvm I was just f***ed in the head and being a trash human being

@Aruji -
If you haven't heard these two albums in my list, you might dig them:
• S***Swing – Sex Swing
• JASSS – Weightless
Stumbled across S***Swing a few years ago from The Quietus' review — I checked it out just cause the album art lol, and it ended up being really dope. If you liked that Stabscotch album then you'll enjoy it.
The JASSS album was from a misc list of 2017 recs that @arel gave me a couple years ago. I really liked it when I first listened and since then it's grown on me a lot. It has some similarities with Stabscotch/Sex Swing as well, but more so from the perspective of artists like Autuchre.
(PS - thank you arel ❤️)

Haha sorry ive been moving old furniture to my garage and putting new stuff in its place for the past few hours. During little breaks ive been scanning over the list to double check things that standout as needing to be fixed. I'll take a better look at it in a little while and tell ya if it's all good

Did some quick fact checking
6 kiss is 2009
And just to clarify, the Gucci album is actually titled "the return of mr. Zone 6" yea?

Goddammit i knew one of the other rap releases was just shy of the 2010s lol. Okay I'll edit my post and remove 6 Kiss and then add another album at the bottom as a new #50
The Return of Mr. Zone 6
Nah that's an album — The one in my list is Mr. Zone 6 the mixtape from 2010:

Here's the artwork:

Glad you asked that cause i def wasn't talking bout the "Return of" album haha. Gucci's albums and mixtapes titles are sometimes similar so it can be confusing lol, sorry i didn't clarify which one before
@Galaxy - Just removed Lil B - 6 Kiss, and added Goat – World Music at the #38 spot

Interesting
Interesting
I remember the last rap you recc'd me was OMB Peezy from Bama and that SOB x RBE group from Cali. Both were great
What other recent detroit rap standouts you got?
@Galaxy - Just removed Lil B - 6 Kiss, and added Goat – World Music at the #38 spot
Just to clarify, just a replacement for 6 kiss but no other shifting?
Wait f***kk i gotta change the positions all down lemme get my laptop

6 Kiss was at #23, I removed it and then put World Music between Julia Holter and Lana Del Rey to make a new #38
So everything that was 24-37 shifted up one spot, and every rank after 38 has stayed the same
EDIT: I already made the change lol, i didnt mean to make it sound like i was asking you to do it for me. My bad!
