@Elric this Stockholm 1967 live album topped the Prunes' other releases for me
amazing guitars

Music for 18 Musicians is from 1976. It's just a new recording. Same with In C. However, it's difficult with Classical stuff. How do you count it?
The Africa Express recording of In C is at least rearranged.
The Africa Express is a totally different album than the original In C imo.
I get that Reich is pushing it though. The 2015 version is just particularly special to me. Yeah that one was pushing it lol. Can change if needed.
Also @Galaxy i thought I could count Disintegration loops as a compilation since it technically is a compilation. Didn’t completely read the rules tbh.
I'l just replace it with...
The Hotelier - Home, Like Noplace is There. But that would go at 50, and everything would get pushed back one spot.
Sorry for the issues put this list together kinda quick.

V Intrastin to see how big a fan of Takagi you are
Love the works you listed, especially Wolf Children
Idk if you’ve delved much into other composers that are famous for working on anime but I would also recommend Kensuke Ushio (essential works: Liz and the Blue Bird, Ping Pong: The Animation OST and A Silent Voice) and Kevin Penkin (essential works: Made in Abyss, Made in Abyss Dawn of the Deep Soul, and Tower of God)

been putting off the big express forever and that made me want to put it off more
idk how Todd leveled up so hard on something/anything, hope you like it as much as i do :ohno: the style and sound of it is just so much better than the first 2 as well as the quality

Unfortunately I've already started counting. I will count your disintegration loops vote as is
Forgot how nice it was to count these lists with a clear mind. Doing back to back to back lists was grueling even though there were a few months between them. Something calming about knowing this is the list to end all lists.
Also thanks to everybody who voted (which was almost everybody and hopefully 1 more). I wanted to make this final list as curated to our little family here as possible and it would have been difficult to do that on this site considering every thread shows up in the main feed (gonna be some weirdos to deal with when I make the results thread).

Yeah I was wondering if you were just gonna post the results ITT or make a new thread, cause a new thread is almost guaranteed to be flooded with random music sxn folks baiting/trolling
What might actually work perfectly is if you made the results in a Word document or something, save it as a PDF, and then uploaded it to a place like Google Docs or OneDrive. Then you could just make the file public and share the link, and @basedspirit could even put it in this thread's OP for people to see easily

Then I couldnt do the special rollout
I'm definitely going to have the results saved on a Docs file for easy viewing as well as make a thread (I made a seperate thread for my individual list, I think 25 of us can handle some dorks from music sxn who have never heard of Sun Kil Moon)

I mean you could still do all the text formatting and album cover pics, and even split it into separate docs (pt 1, 2, 3... 100-75, 74-50, etc...) and release them in installments. Just create a public folder on google docs/onedrive titled "FAM Thread's Best of 2010s* and then put each installment in there. Wouldnt even be inconvenient to do either
Just throwing out ideas to keep down the risk of folks filling the thread with pages of smilies and bait cause they've never listened to more than 2 genres before

Noooooo
Lol, it'd be fun for a couple pages to me but after that it'd get mad annoying.
I could've sworn S said there's a feature in beta rn that lets you make private/invite-only threads
Im gonna message him on discord and see when that's gonna be added to the main site, cause if he does it soon then you might could just hold off and make it then. Negate the bullshit altogether

Honestly when I made my own thread there were only a couple of annoying idiots. I reckon we would get a few but I surprisingly got quite a bit of positive feedback lol. We'll see how I feel in a couple weeks

Will check out. Never really listened to anime soundtracks I remember way back in the day mryeezy was trying to put me on a bunch of stuff and forgot to check it out.
