P4K's list of the 20 best uzi songs :bye:
Might actually be worse than any of their albums of the decade lists

seems odd to post a “best songs” list for a relatively new artist

naaa bruh, they did a good job including his career defining singles/features and milestone loosies like Grow Up, Buy It, and New Patek.
i definitely wouldn’t have included anything from LiR2 tho, and they have 3 tracks from it

Thats why the list is so bad, it's mostly just songs that added to his popularity. And how the hell you gonna name a list "Best Uzi Songs" and give multiple spots to damn features
Tf is "Bad & Boujie" doing on this list lol
No "Scott & Ramona", no "Team Rocket", no "Paradise", no "Right Now", no "Grab the Wheel"... But thank god they included "Bad & Boujie", truly one of his crowning achievements
"How to Talk" from LIR2 is deserving of a top pick tho, and of course that's not one of their choices from that album haha
to be fair my top 5-10 uzi would prob mostly be songs off EA
I would prob include Early 20 Rager and The Way Life Goes as well though
even though Uzi a "new" artist, he probably has more material than a lot of veterans.

Lol yeah its a weird idea.
And he's got enough material where a best songs list could be an interesting mix of stuff...but they largely chose his most hyped singles lol

Haven't listened to EA/VTW2 enough yet to make any calls like that
Really great albums tho

yeah I can't say I liked anything from uzi until a few songs off LIR2. And then EA I mostly f***ed with. The deluxe to be fair, I only liked some songs as well like Myron, Wassup, yessirski, leaders (not a fan of Nav but he was so damn good on this), and Got the Guap.
Also, I loved that uzi x future song on HOL as well. S*** is the most uplifting misogynistic anthem I ever heard
"Wassup", "Strawberry Peels", "Celebration Station", and "I'm Sorry" are the probably the 4 I've been playing the most recently cause they're the first ones that really got caught in my head haha. Awesome stuff

Baby Pluto, Celebration Station and Chrome Heart Tags are my favorites
Am i trippin, or did Pitchfork review Vs the World when it came out and gave it like a 4.0 or something.... I swear to god I remember them giving it a poor review cause I saw it around the time they also gave Lil Boat a similar low score.
A review for that tape isnt on their site anymore, and cant find it on the Wayback Mach.
The only thing I can find is this reference to their negative reception of Vs the World in their review for Perfect LUV Tape:
Uzi’s buzz reached a fever pitch on the strength of two love-centric mixtapes: 2015’s Luv Is Rage and April’s Lil Uzi Vert vs. the World, neither of which were really interested in saying anything substantial about romantic love, instead opting to rubber-stamp random songs with hearts and cliches.
They're known for deleting past reviews that might damage their "credibility" or relationship with artists/labels... But I really wanna know if that review ever existed or if I'm imagining it
Baby Pluto, Celebration Station and Chrome Heart Tags are my favorites
Chrome Heart Tags dope too
@RASIE maybe their next list will be “20 best albums we befly’d”

I remember a few years ago when they conjured up some nonsense about having to delete a large portion of their reviews from before the mid-2000s cause they didn't have enough "space" or some s*** after their redesign... Even tho they were already having talks with Conde Nast about acquiring their brand and upgrading their platform with corporate money

Chrome Heart Tags beat is what Heaven would sound like, thank you based Keef for the production

na they ain’t trash Vs the World, they’d been bigging Uzi up gradually since Luv is Rage

THIS is absolutely bullshit tho and i noticed it as well. some album they reviewed a few weeks ago had me DEAD cuz they raised the score like multiple points from the OG review
i remember now, it was one of the Talking Heads albums they reviewed last month, every one of which they had already reviewed in the past
cant find the OG scores anywhere tho

Celebration Station prob my fav uzi song tbh
no, I'll check it out :)
Did you listen to Cult of Luna's Somewhere Along the Highway or Isis' Panopticon?
Second one sounds familiar. Will give em a listen

Or this one from 2000 where the site's editor (or former editor now I think) said Pet Sounds was just bland pop music and criticized it cause it didn't sound as fresh as Loveless or OK Computer...
Fast forward just a few years to 2006 when this review was written for Pet Sounds 40th Anniv. release, which is now the only review of the album on their site, where the writer kicks off the review by saying:
I'd argue the actual sound of much modern music purportedly influenced by the Beach Boys is closer in execution to what the band did in the wake of Pet Sounds
Among other things that directly contradict the original one lol

Lmao i was gonna quote you earlier and mention that one
