The thing is Kanye actually sometimes gets at harsh truths but in such a way that they appear absurd. People want him to just be a lolcow rather than actually engage with his points. That Harriet Tubman point came out dumb but plenty of black activists have made similar arguments. I’m not saying I agree with that bit in particular, just saying generally.
