Wasn’t the Lorde one a real painting?
From deviantart maybe
The "next Shania" came an went multiple times ages ago
I meant that style of pop music, not exactly talking the throne from her
Shows how important image is as well as quality. She should’ve been the next Shania Twain but she was hellbent on being a rebel
i think she saw the market and gunned for it, she was literally everywhere in 2013 you couldn't escape her but it overall damaged her in the long run
the landscaped changed also because a lots of very popular pop artists of late 00s and 10s started to show cracks with the new wave of tumblr and more subdued pop artists taking over
through i reckon she was one year too early with the disco revival

As much as i love Shania, Dixie Chicks and the like...every time i think "i wish more people made that kind of pop country nowadays", i can't help but immediately feel like the god-awful stagnant pop-country of the past decade is (like it or not) the natural continuation of those GOAT 90s icons

It came out the same year as Daft Punk
So is the current wave just declaring any female artist as "the new hotness" if she uses Tumblr-core portraits of herself as album covers?

real

You should watch Country Music from Ken Burns. At the end, they basically said everyone wanting to be as successful as Garth Brooks “killed” mainstream country

I'd say that's evidence of her being too late to that trend then

RAM is a classic record, hopefully we get another full length especially how we are their is sooo many disco records coming out this year
Every time I think I’m done with galaxy’s list, I remember more artists who deserve to be on the list
Broski dont know if heard that doom joint Warning's Watching From a Distance but this s*** is hitting hard. I had this joint for years and only casually jammed but this some good s***.
idk I could never get into that joint. Didn’t care for the vocals.
taylor seems like the type to pull some tonya harding s***.
She does everytime she plays the victim with Kanye
yeah I was kinda disappointed by the album
Even though the album wasn't as good I'll probably listen to her next release whenever it is, shes definitely talented. Her vision in the EP was just better realised ig

Oh yeah that's an age-old parable of Country Music: Garth's success drove Country music's dignity into the ground.
Even still today, literally any picture I see of Jason Aldean is like looking at Garth Brooks' fraternal twin lol.
Granted, people like Aldean and Brad Paisely still had some strong songs when they first arrived on the scene in the 2000s ("Amarillo Sky", "Mud on the Tires").
And i'd take either of them anyday over the more recent wave of "pretty boy country" stars that make Kenny Chesney look like a Texan — Eric Church, Luke Bryan, Blake Shelton, etc
idk I could never get into that joint. Didn’t care for the vocals.
yea I couldn't fully get into it either haha idk I think the songs kinda blended together. But on this spin
Okay so im assuming the guy praising RAM is definitely not from the OG fam thread?
Thought they just changed their name and Ive been trying to figure out who they were

Yeah he went downhill into the cheap trash zone real quick
When he first came out he had some good songs tbh. Now
yea I couldn't fully get into it either haha idk I think the songs kinda blended together. But on this spin
maybe I should revisit soon
This some @rise_zero core album artwork
