Yea I kinda had the same reaction haha the cast is amazing and its different for sure.. but something was missing on a first watch
in a Zahler mood rn. I rewatched Brawl yesterday, probably gonna rewatch Dragged Across Concrete tonight
What you think about Sam Rockwell playing Merle Haggard
doing his own singing too
Sounds cool, Sam Rockwell got talent but is kinda hit or miss for me. I hope its a good flick.
Shame my dude John Hawkes fell off so hard, he would be a great as a country singer.

How did he fall off so hard? He was in 3 Billboards which was ok and Everest which was apparently good
Also that new Refn show which I'm still undecided on

Great character actor in Deadwood and was truly menacing in Winter's Bone. Mon had that look haunted southern look. I think he won some major award. I liked him in Martha Marcy for a solid indie flick.. After that idk
Come to think of it Elizabeth Olsen fell off too
She's getting that Marvel money but still.
I finally watched Mirror if that makes you happy.
Did you mean "this was the one" like the goat Tark film?

I don't like Elizabeth Olson much. Scarlett Witch is awesome but she made her my least favorite Avenger.
Trying to create a slightly altered algorithm for the 2000s list. For the 2010's, I made 2 16th placements = 1st place, but since more albums are being voted for and the bottom is now lower, does 2 18th placements = 1 first place sound too extreme? It's certainly getting close to the 25+25 = 1 old algorithm but I think many of us share the thought that 2000s is a great decade (and most prefer it to 2010s (at least I do)).
just a work in progress though

She came outta nowhere with that Martha Marcy joint with Hawkes and knocked it out the park, solid psychological horror. I guess it was just a flash in the pan.
Broski you should try and finish Da 5 Bloods tho, was awesome seeing a veteran actor like Lindo own the screen. Not to mention that Lester and Clay Davis chemistry.

I dunno man the chemistry seemed forced and the subtext was super transparent and wtf why did they make the geezers play the young versions of themselves
I didn't like it at all
If they had a set of young actors to play them in the flashbacks then it would've been tolerable

DAMN SON
smh
"The recording sessions were a source of frustration for Eno and Devo. Eno found the band unwilling to experiment or deviate from their early demonstrations of recorded songs. Devo later admitted that "we were overtly resistant to Eno's ideas. He made up synth parts and really cool sounds for almost every part of the album, but we used them on three or four songs." A majority of the tracks were later remixed by David Bowie"
f***ing idiots
That’s why they never made another album half as good
