I know you meant Eno. You're forgiven for the mistype
Maybe if he dropped an actual rock album where he actually sings in the last 40 years I would count him
Bowie like the only solo British goat I can think of
What about twofirstnames from Wham?

Well Eno not dropping anything rock related the last 40 years is pretty much the same as Bowie dropping nothing relevant post Heroes

Gonna disrespect the 3 records after that?
Blackstar top 20 overrated of the decade fight me
The man dropped an album about death and then literally died a week later. Thats hardcore as f***

That literally means nothing about the quality of the album.

It kinda does tho actually
Ftr there's 4-5 records between Scary Monsters and Blackstar I haven't heard so maybe they're good idc enough to listen

I guess context matters in some cases and if it does for you that's fine but imo it doesn't change anything about it for me. Super unmemorable imo

You clearly new here but me saying this is literally nothing new so stop acting surprised
Wow Bobby Shmurda made a rap song pretty much admitting to murder and he ended up ACTUALLY being involved in murder. Must be a great song

Yeah but Blackstar is a great album on it's own. The context just makes it even more powerful. If you don't like it that's fine but to call it "overrated" is lame.
I can just as easily call your precious Joanna Newsom overrated but instead I just say it's not for me and move along.
I listened to Blackstar and he died the next morning. Felt pretty bizarre.
I don’t really remember but I think I heard it before he died also

this some convincing edge tbh, youve made me reconsider my opinion on later bowie

I could care less if you call her overrated but it wouldn't make sense considering she's not really all that hyped up to begin with.
Everything I say is subjective so when I say something is overrated, it isn't like I'm stating a fact. I don't get what's wrong with saying something is overrated. It's a highly publicized and acclaimed album that I don't think deserves either (therefore overrated). Or do I have to say 'imo' after everything so you won't get confused that I'm speaking for the general public?
What about twofirstnames from Wham?
if counted him id have to count Morrissey too and i dont
i was finishing my digestion of Bowies royal period when he died. I was a few listens into Scary Monsters
same situation with Prince's death too iirc
