mannnn Don’t Look Back is so f***ing dope, didn’t realize how little of a f*** Bob gives
broski what you got for your fav metal record so far ? :mystery:
I’d say so far it’s one of of these three: Ulcerate, Oranssi Pazuzu, or Black Curse. Really enjoyed the IT album tho and could see it climbing higher.
What about you?
It really is a lot to digest off of one listen, there’s just so much happening. The jazzy parts are some of the best parts of the album to me, it’s like a roaring 20s metal album lol. I wasn’t into the bonus songs either, and I liked the first couple songs but the album didn’t really click until City Swine for me.
I’m gonna sit down with it and get stoned and see what I missed the first time
Like you could tell these dudes know their jazz, its chaotic but very precise. The riffs weren't the focus for me, everything else took the show
The title track gotta grow on me and I wasnt big on the last song either.. But we'll see..
Yo I might be tripping but I thought I heard some weird shopping mall recording on one of the early songs haha

Boris's NO is my fav so far, funny cause its basically the opposite of IT and just rips.
Ulcerate was dope, but I felt like it was a downgrade from Shrines imo.
I hate Sunday nights
Yo jam that new Imperial Triumphant joint me and Seinfeld convo about.

I really liked the title track
I think you’re right though, the drumming is top notch and really might be the best part of the album to me, it just seems to really tie it all together. The horns on Mercury before it gets so brutal

i was crying laughing watching him f*** with interviewers for 30 minutes at a time

then that scene where his manager is tricking two different venues into one paying Bob more than the other
cant believe I’d never seen that, such a good watch even without any explanations/exposition as to the context

now that youre digging bobs sense of humour i have a rec for you
maybe you already have but you should dive into The Basement Tapes. Bobs funniest stuff by far and also his most pulverizing ballads here and there.
