So weird to see him giving so many 2010s rap albums 7.5/10 lately too. Considering how few he has given in the 90s and 00s. And his hip hop list does not coordinate with his ratings at all lol
Yeah i suspect he will either update his hip hop/rap "best of" list soon, OR he will create a whole new list category for mainly 2010s stuff called "Trap" or something like that. (Like how he has "best of pop" and "best of lo-fi pop", despite the inexplicable overlap of styles on both lol.)
"Best rap albums of all-times"
24. Death Grips - Ex-Military (7/10)
34. Kanye West - My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy (7.5/10)
My town is eerily similar to Twin Peaks
pacific north west forestry town near the ocean with mountain's towering over us and a big waterfall right there. Ridiculously picturesque but with a long history of dark s*** violence unsolved murders d**** cults and Klan in the woods etc.
He is
Alts on alts
👀 Kino got some new heat for you 👀
• The Red Ball Express (Boetticher, 1952)
• The Shakedown (Wyler, 1929)
He also gave Anima a 6, when it's clearly a 3.5
Yeah but I’m happy with the 7 cause I love that album. Haven’t heard Anima.

Nah radiohead + yorke solo.
Greenwood as a composer is cool so far
I f*** wit radiohead a lot still tbh
But I think where I used to love Kid A the most, I’ve soured on that and really come to mostly love OKC/In Rainbows/AMSP/ The Bends

I don't love Radiohead nearly as much as I did 5 years ago, but Amnesiac, and to a smaller degree, Kid A, OK Computer and even a bit of A Moon Shaped Pool, still great to me.

Tremendous AMSP revisit yesterday, feeling more and more top 5

Amnesiac is also cool.
Dont care about any of the other albums enough to ever feel like listening again

I used to hate on OK Computer just to be a contrarian... but the more I've listened to it over the years I can't deny how great it is. Especially the first 6 songs...

jaoquin won that year(ish) he starred in 2 classics with amazing scores from the 2 biggest bands of my generation
moon shaped pool might've competed with Amnesiac if it was 30 minutes long and like 6 tracks... maybe like this
1. Daydreaming
2. Ful Stop
3. Decks Dark
4. The Numbers
5. Present Tense
6... maybe true love waits to cap it off (not a particular great track to me but a suitable ending to an album)

first 6 songs of Ok Computer are legendary.
the other 6.... meh... prolly just Climbing Up the Walls and its cacophonous atmosphere, a great use of Thom's unintelligible vocals
Tremendous AMSP revisit yesterday, feeling more and more top 5
it might be top 3 for me tbh
It’s such a fantastic sound for them to explore and the songs feel like some of the most fleshed out and passionate material they have done since IR (which is still my fav of theirs)
Glass Eyes so beautiful
just realized so many radiohead songs get ruined to me because of Thom... Amnesiac really their best use of him by far wow

Hate how death grips is a thing tbh
Worst thing fantano has ever done for music culture

i like some of their stuff to an extent. disc 2 of powers that b the best thing they ever done, but they are overhyped by the internet and fantano nerds so f***ing much
Amnesiac one of my least fav radiohead projects tbh. S*** is just noise half the time. Still love the first track a lot tho and it’s one of my fav songs of theirs.
Kid A fleshed out that experimental phase they were on better but even then most of the songs just didn’t feel worthwhile on that to come back to
