i think hes better for his role in the band, not necessarily his bass prowess if that makes sense. the way they all coordinate on the long jams when sometimes McVie doing something super simple but effective

also his bass on the later mainstream stuff is p nice and tasteful i suppose

ill take Mick Fleetwood above him tbh. but the 2 of them together as a combo def transcends either's individual ability
