This album is TikTok incarnate. Even if its supposed to be an ironic reflection to current pop culture/social media, it's still TikTok incarnate.

    Prestige maybe

Dunkirk is nice but he clearly lost the plot and not having a hyper rigid plot doesn't suit him

The anti Malick attempting a Malick

Edit: Highly disagree with your review saying it's his most precise and structured. Quite the opposite. There are literal charts and graphs to help people follow his other films, Dunkirk is relatively fluid and nonlinear.

We just completely disagree on this one lol

There are actually moments on it that are genuinely great. But i cannot get past the rest that sounds like "what if jamie stewart was in middle school and streamed minecraft lets plays"

Like i said above there are some dope moments on it but i don't see myself listening to this when i'm content with the dozens of other things from the past 20 years that already scratch that itch for me

I'll update you if i end up doing a befly180, and i'll change the emoji in my username to any one of your choice.

I'll also say that i think they probably have the potential to make something a lot better in the future. All the building blocks are there, i just aint vibin with what they built with them on this debut

Its funny cause i love so much other s*** thats adjacent to their music, but i cant listen their songs and not think about sped up videos of dancing and dabbing 12 year olds

Listen to the song "stupid horse" — the riffs on the hook and afterwards are simple but dope. And then dude comes in with a "WOOOOOOOAAHHH" and i think of annoying children lol.
