Classically trained operatic singers are the best technically but if they were to sing the songs of artists like Frank or Rihanna it wouldn't be the same for me because I really like the way the specific ways in which those two deliver lines and convey emotion, which can't really be replicated

Okay but you’re not gonna say opera singers can’t sing tho just because you don’t like the style. That’s more of your preference of musical taste with that being subjective. Personal enjoyment of a singer doesn’t have bearing on their ability. As singing is a skill, there definitely is objectivity present.

Scott RaidenEvery answer so far is true except Beyonce. Bey is easily an above average singer at worst. Shes not Whitney/Mariah level but she can definitely sing either live or on stage.
Alicia Keys is so-so. Most of the time shes not a great singer but she does have her moments. If she writes her lyrics then shes one of the best Songwriters of her generation easily imo.
