eh i think differently. i think the roots of his depression is what kept him "in" and no matter what if you can't fix the root of your issues you will end up f***ed. i think the lifestyle you say of "not going out, meeting irl" (true or not) is actually what helped him live til 31. mental health isn't just magically fixed by going out and having interaction it's fixing what makes you depressed..

sorry it's just that everyone has different demons and some people find solace in solitary life. there's a lot of celebs and athletes living recluse lives and they still do fine.

Reckful was what got me into playing rogue in WoW and it sucks he was never able to find prolonged happiness with himself; being a streamer is a new category of celebrity and it sucks that this is may be the beginning a possible wave of streamer suicides.

The constant berating and inability to let streamers move on from their issues, while tethering their income with that cycle of negativity and having to gather an audience (that 70% meme on you while providing you with stability in a very “lol millionaire cries about jokes” manner) in that toxic environment is going to continue to cause these severely depressed individuals to just take their life. It’s a lose lose situation for a good portion of steamers and the fact that not only is the work environment toxic but it requires them to stay inside where they can’t escape their work environment makes me really sad.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we hear something about Mitch in the next year or even from a female streamer, really sucks.

im sure you could find a point before this to say when things really went down hill but the industry been sad since etika passed

I dont know this fella personally, but I do know we need some kind of mediation for twitch streamers, esp the ones that are wearing depression on their sleeves
