I think they're trying to nurture like a new generation or the younger talent on the label but nobody wants to listen to Reason, no pun intended.
Like he not that raw to be stalling good artists for. With the exception of Kendrick who can do what he wants whenever.
To top it off, I don't even know what happened to Ab-Soul after his debut flopped and Q hasn't made inspired music in a while. Don't even know what happened to Jay Rock he kinda lost his steam too cause his album didn't do too hot.
And Isaiah Rashad and SZA are getting blocked despite both of them having insane potential.
I really don't understand the thought process.
jay rock had win, kings dead, OSOM with jcole, and wow freestyle.. the album was a huge step up for him numbers wise... he also won a grammy that year

Nobody really liked that album. King's Dead was hardly his song, that was on the black panther album? Only time I'm hearing WIN is at my gym and that's cause they haven't updated they playlist since they opened in 2015, they still got Work by Rihanna and No Problems by Chance on repeat.
It didn't flop like Soul but it didn't give him steam or propell him anywhere. Critically, I remember the reception being lukewarm. And if it did he didn't capitalize.
