If they weren't Fantano fans they would just be RYM / reddit / last.fm users who just talk about music like it's a objective thing and like there are "standards" for good music. This existed way before Fantano I remember all those 9GAG posts about how Nicki Minaj is not "real music". Elitists existed always and they always followed a wave.

Now that I'm not as impressionable I view it as entertainment. Like I can watch a video of somebody hating on something for an hour. It's fun even if I like the thing. Unless it's cinema sins they are bullshit.

I’m not gonna review a type of music I’m not even into and go as disrespectful as the “NOT GOOD” label. You never liked his stuff I feel like that was really unnecessary. Give it a negative review but that s***s too much when you don’t even like that type of music
He hated on Thug and Baby for years and only flipped when they became undeniable, only to review Thug projects negatively while claiming he liked his past projects better when he never really praised him

He gave Donda a glowing review because he wanted to polarize it as “ye good drake bad” but almost immediately said he didn’t actually like Donda that much while using the minor changes to the album as justification (when he actually cheered that Chris Brown was removed at first but later forgot that that happened and claimed the changes made him like the album less)
He didn’t wanna be wrong about a Ye album again so he pandered to the fans and milked the Ye Drake beef but immediately flipped after and didn’t even include Donda as one of his favorites of the year after giving it one of the most positive reviews
You can never know what people think, but this is my perception and made me stop watching him
