Lotta prisoners of the moment and people caught up in the rollout making the album out to be more than what it is.

Not even tryna hate or be a contrarian because it is a very good album, easily one of the more noteworthy rap releases this year. But it definitely has enough clear shortcomings that keep it from a perfect 10 imo

Fantano is one of the most buyest reviewers I've ever seen

i gave it a 9 on first listen and it only got better after

when i think of albums that are rated a 10, its never simple. the rollout, the moment, all the other details go into what makes it a 10.
But it all has to be paired with a solid album run within the music. Pharrell has sung better, but he was never a good singer, and Grindin is literally the baseline. The beats could be more layered and use more instrumentation or different drums, but that isnt what got us here in the first place.

it all comes down to the irony and conviction within these songs, none of it is lost and is just a reflection of d*** dealers actually making it with the same cutthroat mentality they had to have to survive in the first place. It is a celebration of where they are at, 3 friends from the same area. It is a sound we grew up with that has progressed, and as they said in multiple interviews, the hope is that the fans have grown with them.

The intent of this album is fan service, from fans of hiphop and the culture, unapologetically.

let me ask you, when you play this album, do you also get songs from Daytona & Its Almost Dry stuck in your head too? it feels like a continuation and if i put em all in a playlist, even with older clipse songs, its just like natural progression and fits so well together imo
